Jack Straker joins Industrial Decarbonisation & Circular Economy practice

Welcome to the team, Jack.

Jack read Modern Languages & Literatures at The Queen’s College, Oxford, where he was President of the University Amateur Boxing Club and sat on the college undergraduates’ council for two years. Speaking fluent French and Italian, he spent three years in Rome working as diplomat and adviser to the head of a transnational humanitarian organisation involving >120,000 people.

After this role, he studied an MBA at IE Business School in Madrid to develop his quantitative skillset, graduating with honours in December 2018. He joined RIG in 2019 following a strategy & marketing project to re-structure the corporate governance and to reformulate the pricing, positioning & promotional strategies of his family business – a caravan site in East Yorkshire.

Outside of work, Jack is a keen sportsman (boxing, cricket and skiing), enjoys writing bad poems, and is secretary of a charity specialising in taking disabled friends on holidays.
