Ellie graduated from Churchill College, Cambridge with a degree in Geography and Management. Particular areas of focus were legal and regulatory environmental frameworks, international business economics and climate change.

Prior to joining RIG, Ellie worked for UNESCO in Paris in the Division of Science Policy and Capacity Building on the Global Observatory of Science, Technology and Innovation (GO-SPIN) project.
